Warriors Finish Second at Mid-Eastern Conference Cross Country Meet Our Wes-Del boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Mid-Eastern Conference (MEC) Championships on Saturday at Blue River Valley, highlighted by an impressive second-place team finish from our boys. The Warrior boys finished with 62 points, placing second behind conference champion Monroe Central, which scored 46 points. Wes-Del placed three runners in the top eight, led by Elijah Cook, who finished sixth overall with a time of 17:36.3. Jack Brunner followed closely in seventh place at 17:38.5, while Christopher Lopez finished eighth in 17:46.2. Leo Davis added a 16th-place finish with a time of 18:59.0, while Ranen DuBois rounded out our scoring five in 25th place at 20:12.6. Luke Humbert also competed for the Warriors, finishing 30th with a time of 20:33.0. On the girls side, Noelle Ernstberger led our Warriors with a 23rd-place finish, completing the 5K course in 25:06.5. Tori Ward followed in 34th place with a time of 30:12.9, while Amber Dillard finished 38th in 35:36.5. With only three runners competing, our girls did not qualify for a team score. We are proud of the effort and determination shown by all our runners at the conference championships. Congratulations to our boys on their conference runner-up finish and to both teams for representing Wes-Del with pride as we continue preparing for postseason competition!
